The Stages of Construction

Site Prep

A multi-step process of preparing land for building, starting with site assessment, clearing vegetation, marking boundaries, and digging trenches or pits for foundations and utilities, followed by compacting and backfilling soil and final grading for drainage, all using heavy machinery like excavators and dozers, ensuring safety and adherence to site plans. 

Framing, Floor Joist, Sheathing, Wrap

During the framing process, the structure begins to take shape and the floor plan becomes visible. This phase is often called the “skeleton” of the house as it creates the basic framework that supports everything else. Weather resistant barrier is placed over the sheathing to protect the home from moisture. Windows and exterior doors may be installed during this stage.

HVAC, Plumbing, Electric, Insulation, Drywall

Your home is now dried-in, which means the interior is completely protected from rain and moisture. Now the major systems, including plumbing, electrical, and HVAC can be installed. After your home has been properly insulated and the mechanicals installed, the next step is to put up drywall on the walls and ceiling. 

Interior/Exterior Finishes, Inspections

The final stage of building! This is when you’ll start to see all the finishing touches you’ve been looking forward to. Hardwood flooring, carpet, countertops, cabinets, doors, and light fixtures are all installed. We will complete the exterior finishes, and lay sod. Once the home passes its final inspection, you’ll walk through it with us to ensure everything meets your expectations. If you notice anything that needs attention, this is the perfect time to let us know so we can take care of it for you.
